Installation

Set up RowTether in your project and open the tool.

Before you begin

You need Unreal Engine 5.8 on Windows. The current build has been tested with Unreal 5.8.2. RowTether runs inside the Editor.

The source package requires a C++ project and the C++ toolchain supported by your Unreal installation. The core review panel does not require another studio plugin, an account or an API key. The optional AI workflow has its own setup; see Automation and AI.

Install the source package

  1. Close Unreal Editor and extract the supplied ZIP.
  2. Copy the complete RowTether folder into your project’s Plugins directory. Create that directory if it does not exist.
  3. Check that the descriptor is at YourProject/Plugins/RowTether/RowTether.uplugin, with Source, Config and Resources alongside it. The commercial package intentionally has no Content folder.
  4. Generate project files and build your project’s Development Editor target using Unreal 5.8.

These instructions describe the source package. A Fab listing has not yet been published.

If you do not already have the pre-release ZIP from the studio or your project delivery, use contact support to request the correct package. There is no public binary download link yet; do not use an unverified mirror.

Enable and open RowTether

  1. Open your project. In Edit → Plugins, search for RowTether and enable it.
  2. Restart the Editor if requested.
  3. Open Tools → RowTether. The panel starts idle until you select tables and start a review.

Next, follow the first review with the separate test project or your own DataTables. The commercial plugin does not include example tables. If the menu is missing, see the setup checklist.

When multiple Tether family plugins are enabled, open Tools → Tether → RowTether. With only RowTether enabled, use Tools → RowTether. DataTable editor shortcuts stay in the same place.
